Minutes of Committee Meeting
Monday 10th. February 1986
Members present: - G4ITP Taff, G4PDZ Frank, G3TQF Geoff, G4JDI Tony, G4WYN Gwynne, G4KKS Mick, G4XXZ Dave, GIFB Gary, apologies G400S sick.
Taff opened meeting by greeting new members Dave and Gwynne.
Frank reported that the roof had been repaired as per quotation and that a new back door should not cost more than £150, it was agreed that providing we had a solid core door for that price, it should be accepted.
Due to adverse comments from one or two members re. the opening plaque it was agreed to have it modified.
If an overhead projector can be found at the right price it was agreed to purchase.
The committee felt that we should look at the possibility of purchasing a new HF transceiver and to look at the merits of a TS930 or a FT980
It was also agreed to purchase an FT726 Transceiver with 70 cms and 6 metee. modules fitted.
In view of the tremendous assistance to our members who have been hospitalised recently of an ICF2001 receiver kindly loaned to us by G4MTP, it was agreed to purchase a receiver for club use.
It was also agreed to purchase 50 new mugs to replace the rather delapidated crockery now in our possession
