Jim has worked in broadcasting since 1980 and has been a continuity announcer on Radio 4 and BBC World Service since 1997, regularly presenting the shipping forecast.
Licensed since 1971, he is active on many amateur bands up to 70cm and can often be heard on "top band".
We are looking forward to welcoming Jim at Leicester Radio Society for what is sure to be a fascinating talk.
